Getting a library card is simple and free. However, if you lost your library card, and you need a new one, there is a $1.00 replacement fee. You need this card in order to check out the wide selection of videos and books.
Any resident of the Mokena Community Public Library District may apply for a library card. Our district includes the village of Mokena and portions of Frankfort, and New Lenox.
In order to get a library card, please bring one of the following documents to show proof of residency:
- a current Illinois driver’s license
- voter’s registration card
- current lease contract
- a banking check with current address on it
- utility bill stubs
Parents must accompany children who apply for a card and will need to submit address documentation and sign a statement of responsibility for library materials.
